Happy New Year, dear friend! Today is the first day of 2023 and with it brings the hopes of a fresh start, new beginnings and perhaps even a shift in mindset. Even if you’re not the type to make New Year Resolutions, it can be very advantageous to use this time to set an intention for what you’d like to start working towards. Maybe it’s a continuation of goals you worked on in 2022 or perhaps you have something new you’d like to see yourself accomplish this year. Whatever you decide, I encourage you to write it down and maybe even make a vision board that you can come back to periodically throughout 2023.
As we all know, there’s power in a collective community and I’m personally super excited to kick things back up with my private Facebook Group. Last year I hosted multiple wellness challenges with this intimate group and loved seeing everyone share their updates and encourage each other as we all worked towards a new goal.
January Wellness Challenge
This January, I’m kicking things off with a NEW thirty day wellness challenge and I invite you to join me! Let me introduce “3 for 30”, a mindful morning challenge where we will focus on 3 healthy habits daily for 30 days to help make them part of our routine. These three habits have helped change my life and are the foundation for my own “mindful morning routine.” You may recognize them from my Mindful Morning Planner. The beautiful thing is that these three habits simply provide a framework for creating a healthy routine that works best for your schedule.
Step 1: NOURISH
Start your morning by nourishing your body. This could mean drinking a full glass of water and taking your vitamins. It can also mean making a nourishing breakfast or nutritious beverage. When in doubt, be sure that your meal includes protein, healthy fats, fiber and nutrients. Always focus on what you can add instead of taking something away.
Step 2: MOVE
Commit to 30 minutes of continuous movement every day. Whether you choose to attend a studio, head to the gym, or do a home workout of your choice, the options for movement are endless and can be tailored to what your body is craving. That means on rest days it can be as simple as a few gentle stretches paired with a long walk.
Step 3: SELF-CARE
Spend at least 15 minutes practicing self care. This is YOU time and can include anything from spending a little extra time with your shower or skincare routine, listening to a podcast, reading a chapter in a book, writing in a journal or in your Mindful Morning Planner, meditating, watching the sunrise, etc. Here are 100 different ideas to get you started!
You can always do the challenge on your own but if you’d like to be in the running towards winning a prize, then you’ll have to join my Facebook Community. Here you’ll join a group of like minded women all working towards the same 3 for 30 goal. Share your daily nourish/move/self-care updates within the Facebook page and cheer others on for doing the same. You might even make some friends in the process!
I’ll be sharing resources within the Facebook page to help keep you inspired — healthy recipes, podcast episodes and meditations, free workouts I’m loving, etc. And at the end of the month I’ll announce ONE winner who will receive a wellness bundle featuring some of my favorite healthy lifestyle products.
